Terms of Service

Terms for using Lucidity services including Composite, LucidityAI, Stella, Vela, and ChromaLab.

By accessing or using any Lucidity.sh service, including CompositeV11, LucidityAI, Stella, Vela, ChromaLab, and any future offerings, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use our services.

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User") and Lucidity.sh ("Lucidity", "we", "us", "our"). By creating an account, accessing, or using any of our services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. We may update these Terms at any time; continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

2. Service Descriptions

Lucidity.sh provides the following services, each governed by these Terms:

  • CompositeV11: An AI inference service for generating text-based outputs.
  • LucidityAI: A training, evaluation, and inference layer for machine learning models.
  • Stella: A user-generated content platform for creating, sharing, and interacting with AI-powered characters.
  • Vela: An agentic desktop workstation for automating tasks and workflows.
  • ChromaLab: A self-hosted, OpenAI-compatible API gateway aimed at coding-agent traffic (Claude Code-style harnesses, Cursor, aider, and similar).

3. User Responsibilities

You are solely responsible for your use of all Lucidity.sh services. You agree that you will:

  • Provide accurate and truthful information when creating an account.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of your login credentials and accept responsibility for all activity under your account.
  • Comply with all applicable local, state, federal, and international laws and regulations, including but not limited to United States law.
  • Use the services only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.

4. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to, and not to attempt to:

  • Use any Lucidity.sh service for any illegal purpose or to solicit or facilitate illegal activity.
  • Generate, upload, share, or distribute content that is illegal, incites violence, promotes self-harm, constitutes harassment, or violates the rights of others.
  • Generate, upload, share, or distribute content that is legally questionable, borderline illegal, or falls into gray areas of the law, including but not limited to non-consensual intimate content, content involving minors in a sexualized context, or content that could reasonably be interpreted as advocating for illegal acts.
  • On Composite, generate content involving any of the categories listed at composite.lucidity.sh/banned.txt, including in fictional, roleplay, or creative writing contexts. Fictional framing does not exempt prohibited categories from enforcement.
  • Use Composite with a code editor, IDE, or coding-agent integration (including but not limited to Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Cline, Continue, Aider, Windsurf, and similar tools or extensions), or otherwise connect Composite to any tool-calling, function-calling, or agentic coding workflow. Requests that define tools for a model to call are rejected as a matter of policy, not just capability, and repeated attempts to route such traffic through Composite are grounds for suspension or termination under Section 7.
  • Attempt to abuse, exploit, reverse-engineer, or circumvent any technical or operational protections of our services, including rate limits, authentication systems, or content filters.
  • Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to access or interact with our services (non-public-API endpoints) in a manner that exceeds reasonable human usage or violates our rate limits.
  • Interfere with the operation of our services, including introducing malware, conducting denial-of-service attacks, or attempting to compromise our infrastructure.
  • Use our services to develop or train competing models without explicit written authorization.
  • Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity.

5. Stella: User-Generated Content Policy

Stella is a platform for creative expression through user-generated characters and interactions. Due to the nature of user-generated content, the following additional terms apply strictly to Stella:

  • Content Responsibility: You are solely responsible for all characters, descriptions, dialogues, images, and any other content you create, upload, or share on Stella. Lucidity.sh does not pre-screen user-generated content but reserves the right to review, moderate, or remove any content at its sole discretion.
  • Prohibited Content on Stella: The following content is strictly prohibited at all times regardless of age-gating: content depicting minors in any sexualized context, non-consensual acts or sexual violence, bestiality, real-world gore or extreme violence, self-harm or suicide promotion, hate speech or targeted harassment of protected groups, or any illegal activity. Violations will result in immediate account termination and may be reported to relevant authorities.
  • Adult Content (Age-Gated Opt-In): Stella permits consensual adult-oriented content (NSFW) for users who are 18 years of age or older. Such content is hidden behind an age gate and will only be displayed to users who explicitly confirm that they are of legal age and affirmatively opt in to viewing it. Adult content is never shown to users under 18, or to any user who has not explicitly opted in. Adult content that violates the prohibited content list above remains banned regardless of opt-in status.
  • Character Persona Restrictions: You may not create characters that impersonate real, living individuals without their explicit consent. Characters based on public figures for satirical, commentary, or adult fantasy purposes may be permitted at our discretion. Characters explicitly designed to deceive or harm others are strictly prohibited.
  • Age Verification and Access: By using Stella, you represent and warrant that you are at least 13 years of age. If you are between 13 and 18, you may only access the non-adult portions of Stella and must have parental or guardian consent. If you are 18 or older, you may optionally access age-gated adult content after explicit opt-in confirmation. Knowingly misrepresenting your age to access restricted content is a violation of these Terms and will result in permanent account termination.
  • Reporting and Moderation: We provide reporting mechanisms for users to flag content that violates these Terms. Our moderation team reviews flagged content and takes appropriate action, which may include content removal, account suspension, or account termination. We encourage all users to report violations promptly.
  • Public Content: Content you choose to share publicly on Stella may be visible to other users. You acknowledge that publicly shared content cannot be fully retracted once viewed or redistributed by others. Private characters and interactions remain private to your account unless you choose to share them.
  • No Endorsement: User-generated content on Stella does not reflect the views or endorsements of Lucidity.sh. We are not responsible for the accuracy, legality, or appropriateness of user-generated content.

6. Content Ownership and License

Your Content: You retain all ownership rights to content you create using our services. By submitting, posting, or displaying content through our services, you grant Lucidity.sh a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide, sublicensable license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, and display such content solely for the purpose of providing, maintaining, and improving our services. This license terminates when you delete your content or your account, except where retention is required for legal compliance or where content has been shared with and used by other users.

Our Content: All intellectual property rights in our services, including but not limited to software, models, branding, and design, are owned by Lucidity.sh or our licensors. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works of our intellectual property without explicit written permission.

7. Account Termination and Suspension

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend any user account for any reason or no reason, at our sole discretion, without prior notice and without liability. Reasons for termination may include, but are not limited to, violation of these Terms, illegal activity, abusive behavior, or extended inactivity. Upon termination, your right to access and use our services ceases immediately. If you voluntarily delete your account, any unused credits will be forfeited; if you wish to request a refund of unused credits prior to deletion, please contact us before closing your account. No refunds will be provided for prepaid credits upon termination for violation of these Terms. Where permitted by applicable law, we may retain your information as necessary for legal compliance or dispute resolution.

8. Refunds

Except where required by applicable law, payments for pay-as-you-go credits and subscriptions are non-refundable once you have used the relevant credits or subscription services. Accounts that are suspended or terminated for violating these Terms are not eligible for refunds, including for any remaining credits or subscription time.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

Our services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. Lucidity.sh makes no representations or warranties of any kind, express or implied, regarding the operation, availability, or accuracy of our services. We do not warrant that:

  • The services will meet your specific requirements or expectations.
  • The services will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free.
  • AI-generated outputs will be accurate, reliable, or appropriate for your intended use.
  • Any errors or defects will be corrected.

You acknowledge that AI model outputs may contain errors, inaccuracies, or biased content, and you assume full responsibility for your use of such outputs.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Lucidity.sh and its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, use, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of our services. Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of our services shall not exceed the amount you have paid to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Lucidity.sh and its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of or in any way connected with:

  • Your use of our services.
  • Your violation of these Terms.
  • Your violation of any applicable law or regulation.
  • Your content, including any claims that your content infringes the rights of a third party.

12. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States and the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of our services shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association, rather than in court. You agree to waive any right to participate in a class-action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms at any time by posting an updated version on this page. Material changes will be communicated through our website or via your account. Your continued use of our services after any changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the changes, you must stop using our services and delete your account.
